So, this is what I wake up to! The icing on the cake is that a second officer put the exact same ticket n the envelope, 30 mins later! Wth!
I’m not worried even though they total $240 because tweetle dumb and tweetle dumber wrote a ticket for not properly displaying a city sticker! First problem, they put the ticket next to the sticker, 2nd problem this car is registered to Tinley Park so I don’t need a Chicago sticker! And honestly, I never ever bought a city sticker before n the 10 yrs ive been buying cars(mainly bcuz they’re always registered in a suburb) But this is my grandfathers car and u know old folks take care of their business! I want to show up in court and just ask the judge if they have common sense training?
But I know what they’re doing…even though they try to make u think its still rampant n our communities, the drug game isn’t as big anymore, so they’re way of locking up young black men is thru tickets and suspended licenses.
The new Chicago prosecutor is serving out double digit sentences to us for driving on a suspended license that was suspended for dumb crap like these tickets I got today! The reason they’re winning is because we don’t take care of our business and follow up with stuff that can easily get thrown out because were too lax, or not responsible or just don’t care! There is no reason a man should be in jail for 5 yrs cuz of a suspended license from one speeding ticket and 4 unpaid red light violations!
I even had a boot on my car for 4 red light tickets, and two were paid the year b4…that was the fight of the century working that out…but I did! Stay on top of ur business so you’ll stay on top! If I can do it, anyone can!
SMH @ CPD, go catch a murderer instead of chasing red light violators! Clowns!
