If you ever have time look up the case of The State of Ohio vs Danny Brown.  The main problem with the case is that he was a black man, strike one.  He had no connections or financial resources, strike two.  His alibi witnesses were just an assortment of “other” black people, strike 3. Oh, did I say he was black, I did didnt I, lets just make it stike 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10!  The trial was some bullshit, the case was some bullshit & the prosecutor was the bullshit puppetmaster who I hopes believe in GOD so she can receive the proper punishment for her actions that no person on earth can deliver properly.

This man did 20 years in jail for a crime that he didn’t commit & she knows it & even tried to offer a very short manslaughter charge but when you know you’re not guilty you don’t want to accept anything but not guilty.  Much to Danny Brown’s chagrin that wasn’t the case, in a few short hours the jury came back with guilty!  Damn! Sorry black man.

But he never gave up, he fought through the bullshit that Julia Bates built for him.  I would like to interject that I am aware of how hard a prosecutors job is and that you always have a chance to make a mistake, you’re human.  However, the reason why I am not a fan of Julia Bates is because after making a mistake there’s still no apology.  She’s actually holding the case in limbo so the county never has to be liable for false imprisonment

Here’s an excerpt from the appeal document that pisses me off.

{¶ 23} Appellant asserts that the DNA evidence is compelling evidence of his innocence and raises a genuine issue of material fact on that issue. The DNA evidence, however, only establishes that appellant did not rape Bobbie Russell. Moreover, it is noteworthy that appellant was never convicted of raping Russell. Rather, he was convicted of aggravated murder in the commission of an aggravated burglary.

The prosecution initially charged him with rape but dropped it because it would have been hard for them to prove rape.  However, during the trial Bates kept stressing the rape, though he wasn’t on trial for it.   DNA tied another man to the murder who committed a similar rape/murder while Danny Brown was locked up which in my head suggests that he is solely responsible for it but once again we’re dealing with a black man’s life.  Im pretty sure to Bates his life means nothing and it shows because not only do you take 20 yrs away from this man in prison(imagine what he had to endure inside, abuse maybe rape etc) but you take the rest of his life away.  She is determined to make him serve out his life sentence for a crime that he did not commit.  Instead of making a formal apology or restitution, she keeps the case in limbo(there’s no statute of limitations on murder).  This man cant move on, he forever has this murder on his record until the battle ax gets booted & replaced with an unbiased prosecutor.

The Lucas County, OH prosecutor’s office stubbornly refuses to rule him out as a suspect, and could conceivably retry the case; this despite intense recent media pressure. Danny Brown’s demands are for those things any citizen would expect in such a situation:

1. Complete exoneration.
2. Formal apology from the government.
3. Compensation for the 19 years which have been taken from him.

I honestly, don’t get it. Whats the action plan behind the movement and what are the measures of success? What is the end goal & what can get us there. Has it just become just a big show or just something to do? I really wish someone could answer these questions for me.

They (Bloomberg)say this was the initial demand: The central demand of the protest is that President Obama “ordain a Presidential Commission tasked with ending the influence money has over our representatives in Washington.” Now they are saying that there are so many other demands & goals that any initiative by the Prez will be rendered obsolete since its no longer focused on what Obama can do. SN: its interesting how the people who started the movement is a leaderless group called AdSense from Canada.

They do have a slightly agreed upon message: They want more and better jobs, more equal distribution of income, less profit (or no profit) for banks, lower compensation for bankers, and more strictures on banks with regard to negotiating consumer services such as mortgages and debit cards. They also want to reduce the influence that corporations—financial firms in particular—wield in politics, and they want a more populist set of government priorities: bailouts for student debtors and mortgage holders, not just for banks This sounds good but by what means are these things going to happen & have they proposed a system to bring these demands to fruition? Also, if your message doesn’t stay clear & concise how can it be fully addressed, what the hell is the true agenda & how can a movement be powerful with different or changing motives? My personal opinion is that I hate arbitrary crap, I hate when people just put on a show. I’m a solutions person, when confronted with a problem, I seek out solutions. I have an “ing” philosphy that I choose to live by, I dont want to hear the talk, show me what you are doING? I need ing to be at the end of everything that comes out of your mouth. I dont want to see your tweets or you on camera camped out in a park with tons of people, following an oddly organized movement that “sounds” good. I want to know what attempts in your local community have you made to improve or change whatever standards & issue you have cause with? Riddle me that Batman?

I think what pisses me off about the demonstration isn’t just the lack of an actionable agenda, its the fact that I work in the community, in the high school of an impoverished area in Chicago & I see no action behind people until the cameras are on or something happens that cant be ignored. We can barely get parents to show up for functions or meetings involving their own children but tell them they’ll be on TV, they’re pulling out the good wigs, heels & makeup. Pause.

We need an #occupyparents movement #occupycitizens movement where the goal is to get the community involved in the day to day events consistently! Where they take ownership for their land, their children. Reclaim your neighborhoods, stop being scared & stop waiting on Captain Save-A-Ho to swoop down & end your suffering. Take initiative, do something, give a damn! Call out your aldermen & mayors that were given funding & yet your community still has nothing. You shouldn’t have to feed your family produce that isn’t fresh, where’s a community center that your children can go to and be safe…do your kids even have a library…build a literacy program, a jobs program. Stop depending on a lone ranger to start programs because they wont last without help from the community or the local government. Just do something, stop standing around stop #occupyingbullshit Im sorry ya’ll I always go off on a tangent, back to #occupywallstreet Im just asking for a clear & concise explanation of the purpose of the movement & the obtainable & attainable goals that they are looking to be met? Help me….anyone?

They say its not the job of the protestors to draft legislation to meet demands but its the job of the nation’s leader…I think that’s complete poppy cock!! I think the protestors should have some type of leadership & some gov’t official involved that can draft the proposed legislation to aide in making clear demands & solutions! Honestly, I cant #occupywallstreet until I can honestly say I’ve #occuppiedchicago, #occuppiedroseland, #occuppiedthecommunity, #occuppiedthekids, #occuppiedthehood! Until then wall street will have to wait for Lindz to put them on her to do list.
